favorite songs of 2008, #16 of 30: ra ra riot's "ghost under rocks"
I'm still enjoying a lazy spell after a month of kamikaze writing, but am starting to feel rested, limber and ready to dip my toes back into the water.   I am, however, starting slow, so although I've got several ideas kicking around upstairs, for today, here's just a song.

Ra Ra Riot is a newish Indie rock band hailing from Syracuse whose sound I really dig. Their album, The Rhumb Line, is a very solid first endeavor, and although I'm slightly irked that their first track, "Ghost Under Rocks", is the best song of the bunch, it's an offense I can easily forgive because they have cellos and a violins.  I *love* cellos and violins...
