Barring catastrophe it looks like Nate and I will be seeing The National tomorrow, and I'm just tickled about it. Thus, I bring you "Slow Show," which is my favorite song off of my favorite album of 2007, and is my idea of beautiful:
Hope your weekend is just as lovely.

I can't begin to tell you how jealous...er, happy for you...I am that you get to go see The National. Is this your first time seeing them?
Just my luck: They were in Wisconsin twice in a span of about four months last year, before I'd heard of them...including a tiny venue in Madison that holds about 300 people. I might have to wait a while before that happens again.
Boxer has spent many hours at the top of my playlist. There are so many good lyrics on that disc.
Enjoy the show, Mrs. White! (and please tell us all about it when it's over.)
You're going? Awesome! Have fun. Did you know that Zoos were opening? Tell the boys I said hello if you see them.
Gregg, that happens to me all the time. I find a new band that I love only to decided that they had JUST played somewhere very small and very intimate very near where I live, but I hadn't yet heard of them at that point so I missed it. It's quite annoying.
And thanks, Carrie, for telling me about it! I pretty much bought the tickets as soon as I could, and Nate's already told Trevor to expect us. If we get a chance to see him after his set I'll do my best to pretend that it was really the opening band we came to see all along. :)
